Les Gîtes de Pommier offers two 4-star cottages located on the 26-hectare estate of “Le Pommier,” a magnificent manor house dating back to the 1850s, located in the village of Parcoul in the Dordogne region of southwestern France. Thanks to its rural setting, you can enjoy peace and quiet to relax and make the most of your vacation, and you may even spot our little family of peacocks roaming free on the grounds of Le Pommier.
Within the village of Parcoul there is a butcher, a bar/restaurant and a tabac. Within 10 minutes drive of Parcoul are the villages of La Roche-Chalais and Saint-Aigulin which have bars, restaurants, tabacs, boulangeries, supermarkets, pharmacies and petrol stations.
The cities of Bordeaux, Bergerac (both of which have airports) and Cognac are around 1h10 mins away by car. The smaller cities of Angouleme and Libourne are also within easy reach about 50 minutes away.
Our location is near the heart of the Bordeaux wine making region reaching St Emilion within a 45 minute drive making it the perfect gite choice to leisurely explore the world famous wine regions that are right on the doorstep.
Aubeterre-Sur-Dronne which is one of the most beautiful villages in France is 30 minutes drive away with its quintessentially French village square with a selection of restaurants and cafes.
